Creative Director’s Debut and Design Concept
Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Womenswear, brings a distinctive design language to his collection. His Spring/Summer 2026 collection, themed around the bow, showcases the house’s fusion of classic and modern sensibilities. Anderson not only tapped into Dior’s historical roots, returning to the brand’s original square-shaped logo as a nod to its founding in 1946, but also incorporated his signature sharp lines and playful details, injecting new vitality into the Maison.
Design Highlights and Clothing Styles

The collection was presented on a catwalk in the Tuileries Gardens in Paris. The opening featured a short film revisiting Dior’s creative directors and key iconic looks, showcasing a respect for the house’s heritage. The garments featured elegant lines, with signature hourglass cuts that accentuated feminine curves. Fabrics were primarily lightweight, pleated chiffon, creating a layered, fluid feel. Bows were featured throughout the collection, appearing as necklines, hems, and long sashes in a variety of forms, from dramatic, three-dimensional bows to delicate ribbon knots, embodying a feminine and playful approach to fashion.
Innovation in Silhouette and Proportion

Anderson excels at using contrasting proportions to create novel silhouettes. Short, pleated miniskirts paired with loose, cropped jackets exude a relaxed streetwear vibe, while oversized puffy hems and structured pleats push the boundaries of traditional garments. The Bar jacket was redesigned with a soft peplum hem, creating a dynamic line that blends modernity with retro charm. The interweaving of short and long layers imbued the look with a rhythmic flow.
Colors and Materials
The palette of cream, black, light blue, and Dior’s signature gray was predominant, with touches of green, denim, and plaid, creating a refined yet lively visual balance. The materials, chiffon, denim, and delicate satin, interplay between each other, creating a sense of elegant flow while also emphasizing sporty comfort, reflecting Anderson’s modern design philosophy.

Bag and Accessories Highlights
The bow theme also extends to bags. The leather bow bag, with its envelope-fold design and delicate bow embellishment, is a standout. Available in various sizes, it’s perfect for any occasion. The classic Cannage tote is reimagined, featuring smooth leather with a subtly wrinkled texture for a refined feel. The suede large-capacity tote boasts a minimalist design and supple leather, combining practicality with style. The Boston bag, inspired by a 90s retro silhouette, recreates a nostalgic charm with luxurious leather and classic details. The hardshell clutch, with its sleek shape and metal chain and bow details, strikes a balance between playfulness and elegance.
